Two things: An apology and a plea

Two things for the person who found my blog by searching on “origami stapler,” for which my blog is somehow the top result (well, OK, it’s the top result because I used the phrase in this post, when I was kvetching about something . . . again):

  1. Apologies for misleading you.
  2. Please let me know when you find one. (And where you found the paper staples that go with it.)

  • Actually, an origami (wow, first I actually typed orgasmi — huh) stapler is kind of deep. A stapler made from nothing but folded paper in a style defined by the absence of fasteners. This feels like dissertation material, my friend.

  • I can make the origami bird, but, man… a stapler. I gots to get me one of them.

I love what people search to find my site. It’s like watching a digital car crash sometimes.

  • Of course, I had to check out that Google search page.

I love the one from Paradise Valley Community College:

#5 Staple pages together, do not use paper clips or origami techniques to hold pages together. The Instructor will have a stapler available.

Funny, I don’t remember any professors at UCI offering me their staplers, but that’s the big city for you.

I just found it similarly – trying to find how to fold paper together to avoid staples or paperclips.
